Electric Pan/Tilt/Focus Scope

I was approached by Eric Clow who attended the 2021 Birdability Week event and learned about my work with adaptive optics. Eric has limited use of his arms and wanted a scope he could mount to his electric wheelchair tray. Eric’s wheelchair has tilting abilities, so this was taken into account with my design. My goal with this project was to design an electric pan/tilt/zoom system that could work with any scope with parts that need no custom fabrication. A video of assembling and using the scope is attached below along with a parts list. For those interested in building this design I encourage you to contact your local optics store for help in ordering the parts and assembling the unit. Feel free to email me regarding questions or other special needs and I would love to help.
